ISO 21501-4 is the rigorous standard that defines the performance requirements for Light Scattering Airborne Particle Counters (LSAPC). To ensure data integrity and audit readiness, a calibration certificate must go beyond basic checks.
A fully compliant calibration must verify all minimum requirement parameters specified by the standard. Omitting any of these critical tests means the instrument has not been fully validated, which could pose a risk to your cleanroom monitoring process.
1. Sampling Flow Rate
- Verification of the volumetric flow accuracy to ensure the sample volume calculation is precise.
2. Size Setting Error⭐
- Confirms the accuracy of the threshold voltage settings, ensuring the instrument classifies particle sizes correctly.
3. Size Resolution⭐
- Tests the sensor’s ability to differentiate between particles of similar sizes (narrow distribution width), a key indicator of sensor health.
